Sweeteners are all over food products today. IT called ‘artificial sweetnesseners’ because they actually aren’t natural sugars, such as sugar or honey. Some artificial sweeteners come In nature and have been found to be better for us. One reason some artificial sweeteners are good for us. We feel we need them when we don’t want to eat regular foods. These sweeteners may also lower blood pressure,with an excess amount of sugar in these types of products.

It’s important to know that artificial sweeteners are not 100% safe for your body when you’re pregnant since studies show that artificial sweeteners can have adverse effects on developing fetuses. This includes a possible risk of birth defects and developmental delays, seizures in babies, obesity, sleep apnea, and weight gain. There’s also research that shows how a baby who ingests artificially sweetened beverages may develop asthma and other respiratory issues.
