Healthcare in Western Europe is a force to be reckoned with as the European healthcare industry has been steadily growing over the past years . Aside from the much awaited arrival of the European health care market expansion, the Eurozone debt crisis and threats of the Eurozone to break-up have put the Eurozone’s health care systems under stress. The World Health Organization predicts that the healthcare expenditure in the Eurozone will increase by 7.7 per cent to EUR 672 billion in 2019.

Commentary While countries such as France, Britain, and Switzerland perform well in regards to their health care systems, America’s health care system fails to rank in the top 10 by most standards (most rankings), and is just outside the top. According to the World Health Organization’s (WHO) in 2016 , the U.S. is on the bottom of the list, where it ranks 36th overall. The above statistics come from an objective, independent, and unbiased source that takes its information from the WHO itself. The WHO’s annual Global Health Competitiveness Index looks at the way healthcare services are delivered in each of the 191 countries in the world. To qualify as a developed nation, the global health watchdog states that the nation has universal health coverage. In the U.S. The Unites States, Switzerland, France, Germany, and Canada occupy 4 of the top 5 spots in the rankings that assesses, among other things, medical professionals, hospitals, and countries’ overall well-being, said the WHO.

Health insurance;

Per semester health insurance costs ]a bit more than $1000. The deductible is about $350 after which the insurance will pay 80% of the cost of the procedure Lack of full coverage – My insurance doesn’t cover Eye, Dermatology . Then why do you charge me $1000 ? Network providers – In India, if I have a doctor opposite my house, I can just go to his clinic and get myself checked up. In the USA, you should only go to the doctors/clinics/hospitals that are in network (~partnership) with your insurance provider Ease of access – Medicines and doctors in India are easily accessible. My previous points have proved it is otherwise in the USA.

Basically, during my whole experience, we found that the people involved – the doctors, technicians, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, receptionists, etc – they know the medical system in USA suck

Conclusion;

The data on the availability of physicians in the U.S. . However, they are much closer than they are to the nation’s highest ranking on the list of nations with good health care. Examining overall doctor availability across all the key quality categories helps to explain some of this. In the United States, when we compare the numbers to other countries, they’re just a tad below the U.S. numbers. While it’s not a huge gap, the fact that we’re not ranked number one in overall doctor availability shows that something is amiss with U.S. health care.
